Desert plants: Euphorbia tirucalli

The irregular shape of the tirucalli makes it decorative. In nature it is a shrubby succulent in eastern and southern Africa and in the Arabian Peninsula. It can reach a height and width of 4.5m. In the past the plant is used as a source of latex.

The tirucalli requires much light, tolerates dry air and must be kept quite dry.
