Countries of origin

The greater part of the plant material comes from countries in Central America (including Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador), countries in Asia (including China, Taiwan, Japan and Thailand) and Australia.

In order to spread its risks in regard to purchasing, Futura Verde is importing its products from many suppliers from a variety of countries. Importing the same products from several nurseries located in a larger number of countries guarantees a fairly steady supply of products.

Many of Futura Verde's buyers, both in the Netherlands and such countries as Italy and Spain, have tight schedules and thus require reliable and regular transport of supplies. Futura Verde's approach to purchasing, which focuses on both a broad selection of products and a continued alertness to the needs of its buyers, ensures that these buyers benefit from a guaranteed supply of products.
